French girl in Sydney

I’m Cecile from France.

Who did you want to be when you were a kid?
I wanted to serve in a restaurant. When I was a kid, a hotel manager allowed me to set up a table for customers, and that was so amusing for me that I wanted to become a waitress. I think I liked the fact that serving people comes with an opportunity to communicate with new people and make them happy.

What do you do now?
I am a waitress

Who do you want to be if anything was possible?
Journalist. I would like to open an independent newspaper/media together with like-minded people who share the same mentality and ideas.
what is stopping you?
Myself. I am shy, and I don’t want to study anymore.

What was the most exciting experience/moment of your trip?
Celebrating Christmas on the beach, going to Morisset park to see the Kangaroos and watching the sunset at Laperous beach for the first time. They were the things I could never experience in my hometown.

What was the biggest lesson you’ve learned about yourself by travelling?
To live in the moment. I challenged myself by stepping into a new world where I had to learn a new culture, speak a new language, live far away from my family and work to save money. All those things thought me great lessons and made me a confident person.
